Our Playwright

Rhiannon Lloyd-Williams

Rhi is a Poet, Writer, Blogger and Playwright. She describes writing as far more important than a vocation, it’s a compulsion. She was diagnosed with Autism in 2015 at the age of 35 and has written extensively about her experiences on her popular Blog AutistRhi.com

In 2019 she was Poet in Residence for the Neither Use Nor Ornament Arts Council England funded project and as well as working on The Duck, also works as a public speaker and performance poet.

Rhi’s light, lyrical style, shines through her stage-writing. She likes to explore ideas in new ways, engaging with the audience and revealing the intimate nature of how she works. She believes that the musicality of words is equally as important as their meaning.

Rhi passionately believes that you can never see the whole world through one set of eyes, and with ‘The Duck’ she has lent you her viewpoint for a little while. You can follow Rhi on Twitter here
